This Saturday the 29th, the Mitten United crew will be participating in an amazing event called “Skate the Coast.” This event, put on by our good friends at Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC), is an 18 mile skateboard marathon down the coast of LA. From Santa Monica to Redondo, the crew will push their boards to raise money to fight Breast Cancer.
Over the past couple weeks, members have been fundraising as individuals, as well as coming together as a team, raising over $2,000 so far. Obviously this event would be more than “worth it” just to help benefit the cause, but for the Mitten United crew it is more than that. Having just recently launched B4BC’s brand-spanking new website, we have grown very close to the wonderful people who work there.
We are doing this event because we love action sports, and longboarding is one of our favorites! When you add that with the opportunity to help out some good friends, and a GREAT cause, taking part in this event was a no brainer for all of us here at Mitten United.
